How the P320 Cost Sig Millions (the Untold Story of Sig Sauer)

Описание к видео How the P320 Cost Sig Millions (the Untold Story of Sig Sauer)

The P320 has been plagued with allegations of uncommanded discharges ever since its introduction. Many of these are alleged to be related to the drop safe issue, which Sig enacted a Voluntary Upgrade Program for in late 2017. However, since then, allegations of the P320 firing, many times while still in a holster have persisted. Some of these discharges have even been captured on video...

Sig Sauer was just ordered by a Georgia Federal Court to pay over $2,300,000 to Robert Lang, the first time they've been found liable in a P320 discharge case. This case is technically still ongoing as Sig is now asking for a new trial, challenging the Plaintiff's arguments used in the case and challenging the overall amount of the awarded damages.

The guntube argument for and against Sig has been raging for years. Many of the big creators I've watched over the years seem to hand waive away the issue saying it's a training issue, or dishonest cops. I think this explanation is disrespectful and also untrue, given the fact that many uncommanded discharges have indeed happened to civillians, as well as other branches of our Military, specifically, the US Army, Air Force, and Marines. As near as I can tell, these incidents have received near zero coverage, until now...

You are free to believe that each and every one of these incidents (which as of now number over 100...) are all due to user error. But, there's some things I discovered about SIG that I want to tell you first.

I'd like to thank Mr. Jeffrey S. Bagnell for his help in acquiring some additional info about the P320. You can view some of his work here; https://www.bagnell-law.com/p320
