SILVER LINING

The inspiration of the YINGPEI STUDIO 2022AW collection originates from a reverse experience about the space and distance of object—SILVER LINING. Only by unloading the haze brought by our excessive desires, we can embrace the bright moon light which outlines every cloud so elaborately.

In the researches of the beauty of woman and the women’s crazy pursuing on perfect lifestyle, we found a kind of esthetics state — “half bloomed flowers and half rounded moons”, which possesses a contrasting character and is interlinked to the typical Chinese traditional artistic temperament. Our blind pursuit on the perfection will make us ignore the romantic imagination of incomplete. The reservation and creation of this flabby and natural space sense seems can create the atmosphere outline of beauty in a better way. Generally, we can find a same artistic means in different cultural backgrounds—reverie. This kind of pursuit can be applied to women’s pursuit on comfortable lifestyle, and we also hope that more women can gain true and real “confidence and happiness” “embracing imperfections” and “moderation”.

This collection puts the design key in the space sense created by the relaxation and tension of the design—the combination of knit fabric and woven fabric, the mismatching of positive and negative space in clipping, and the feeling of quantity of the fabric which has been mostly given to the technological fulcrum, which is as few as possible and not deliberately precise. All these attempts create the sense of modeling and breath, which can never be made by intentional pursuing. In terms of printing design, we also conduct more creation about negative space by taking the flower used generally as a key element, to remind people to notice an aesthetic perception of negative form, which has been ignored in the past.

In terms of accessories design, together with HANYING Jewellery, YINGPEI STUDIO explores the attempt about the beauty sense of blank outside of the space. We choose some iconic objects from daily life as the design prototype, and present them in the series modeling by the way of extrusion deformation, symbolizing the possibility for women to get rid of the oppressing sensation brought by the excessive pursuit of extreme and perfection, and enjoy the leisurely life and diverse beauty.


After depicting and narrating women’s image profiles and spiritual stories for one and another seasons, YINGPEI STUDIO expound its observation of the women's world from an empathy perspective, which makes it increasingly feel the same way with women. The headspring of our creation and invention is the difficulty and confusion of female growth, which has been also used to comfort and guide women, to help them find a more leisurely and composed lifestyle.
