Simon Clarke MP says National Insurance tax hike is 'responsible' thing to do

Chief Secretary to the Treasury Simon Clarke says the upcoming National Insurance hike is 'a very progressive policy'.

He told Sky's Kay Burley the 'huge' NHS backlog following the pandemic meant the rise in National Insurance contributions was a 'responsible' decision.

The National Insurance tax hike comes into effect this April at a time when homes across the UK are feeling the financial squeeze from soaring energy and food bills
