A quick walk though the automated IQ5 licensing process
NB: We have subsequently improved the process, by adding some options and by providing some more advance information about the controller, prior to the hardware arriving.

Pre-Licensed IQ5 Controllers: We are now offering pre-licensed IQ5 controllers, reducing the time and effort required to get your system up and running. These don't cover all options and permutations (of which there are many) but should cover most.
Serial Number Inclusion: The serial number of the controller hardware will now be included in the electronic invoice, making it easier for you to track, manage your equipment and generate a license request before you receive your hardware.
The above come into effect pretty much now!

Still to come:
IQSET Offline License Requests : IQSET will soon allow you to generate a license request offline, this facilitates generating a license request file for multiple devices without powering up or connecting the controller.
Grace Period for Base Licences : We will introduce a grace period for adding base licenses, giving you more flexibility and time to manage your licensing needs.
