Berthe Morisot was a talented young painter when she united with a group of revolutionary painters known as the Impressionists. Morisot exhibited in the ground-breaking Impressionist exhibitions, sold paintings at considerable prices and inspired her brother-in-law Édouard Manet in the use of colour.
