इस्लामनगर का किला: भोपाल रियासत की शुरुआत का गवाह | Islamnagar Fort, Madhya Pradesh

Once Islamnagar was the capital of the then Bhopal State and is now situated about 20 kms from Bhopal city and is home to the magnificent Islamnagar Fort. It was built by the first Nawab of Bhopal Dost Mohammad Khan. Dost Mohammad was an Afghan commander in the Mughal army who rose to power and built the Bhopal State.

भोपाल से लगभग 20 किलोमीटर दूर बसा है इस्लामनगर। यह जगह भोपाल रियासत के शुरूआती सालों में उसकी राजधानी थी। यहीं मौजूद है इस्लामनगर का ऐतिहासिक किला। इस्लामनगर के किले को भोपाल रियासत के पहले नवाब दोस्त मोहम्मद खान ने बनवाया था। अफगान मूल के दोस्त मोहम्मद खान मुगल सेना में कमांडर थे। उनकी बहादुरी और किस्मत ने उनका साथ दिया और वे भोपाल रियासत की स्थापना करने में सफल हो सके।
