How to use story telling to transform society | Ulrich Laven | TEDxRWTHAachen

For the filmmaker Ulrich Laven, story telling is the medium of expression to reach beyond reality, yet the success of a good story lies in the ability to resonate with the present and leave the audience with lasting impressions. At TEDxRWTHAachen 2022, Ulrich will take us on a journey through the lens and approach the talk of gender equality. As a professional filmmaker, screenwriter and author, Ulrich has accompanied many film and media companies in their production from the first idea to the final cut. He focuses on producing documentaries and short films, both as commissioned work as well as his independent creation. Since 2015, Ulrich has also worked as a freelance journalist. He publishes film-theoretical contributions, articles and illustrations in various print and internet magazines. In addition, he designs and leads film workshops for young people, media educators and public institutions.
