Charles IV, king of Bohemia, died in 1378 and his eldest son, Wenceslaus IV inherited his father’s throne. Wenceslaus, unlike his father, is naïve, self-indulgent, idle, and frivolous ruler creating perfect opportunity to his half-brother Sigismund. King of Hungary and Croatia, Sigismund sees the opportunity to snatch Bohemia under his wings. Sigismund kidnaps his half-brother Wenceslaus and wages brutal campaign to pillage Bohemia and punish Wenceslaus’ allies.

Henry, son of blacksmith, is one of the unfortunates who is thrust into raging civil war. Escaping a siege and managing to flee just barely alive, Henry starts a journey that is wrought with danger and takes him to places he never could dream of.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is roleplaying game set in open-world environment modelled after real places with help of historians and architects. Weapons, clothing, and combat techniques are imitating the period the game is set in as accurately as possible. Game was released in February 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and in March 2024 on Nintendo Switch. Sequel Kingdom Come Deliverance II was announced to be released in 2024.
