Antigua Things to Do

Описание к видео Antigua Things to Do

Antigua, Guatemala is a tiny beautiful little colonial town an hour south of Guatemala City, where most people fly into.

If you enter Guatemala via air you will arrive into this airport, surrounded by mountains.

You can also enter via southern Mexico, Yucatán/Belize, or from the east and El Salvador/Honduras, or the three country trek from Nicaragua, which takes like 8 hours.

The famous Arco de Santa Catalina is picturesque and makes for amazing pics with one of the volcanoes in the background, especially early in the morning.

There is not much to do besides get ready for the Acanantenango hike or head to the beach in Paredón or to San Pedro in Lake Atitlan.

The town is lovely, you can walk around and take in the town. It’s a very pretty place with a cool central plaza.

Casi Casa is $20 a night with breakfast, and Tropicana is $18.

For bars you can go to Boheme, which is solid and feels American. Reilly’s and La Sala are both solid too, good for dancing.

Cerveza Antigua and El Depósito are both small but really neat craft beer bars.

Tacool is delicious but expensive and small portions. Papaya BBQ is a twist in American barbecue and not good.

There is not much nightlife other than the weekly Tropicana pub crawl but it’s a sleepy, transition town.
