During my time as a robotics teacher, I have always been asked: " Why do we need to learn about robots?" Currently, there are many robotics company. These companies not only develop robotic systems, they also expand and develop robots. By participating in competitions, students are able to become more adept in the mentioned field as well as becoming ambassadors to spread about robotics.

Even so, when we put aside the publicity, the question we ask ourselves would be "What kind of influences does the education about robots have on our students?" In Malaysia, Secondary School students have already begun receiving education about robotics since the year 2000 and only few participated. However, during the years 2007 and 2008, the emergence of Lego has caused an important change and also begun the robotic era.

For a better understanding, we can take this process and compare it with the appearance of calculations during the early times. When calculators first appeared, only the brightest students would consider professionally learn about the calculators, devices that were viewed as highly technological at that time.
