A powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit Tibet on Tuesday, January 7, leaving many dead.
The epicenter was located in Tingri County, about 80 kilometers north of Mount Everest.
Footage released by CCTV shows widespread destruction, with buildings reduced to rubble.
Rescue efforts are underway with workers searching for survivors.

Relief supplies, including tents and quilts, have been sent to the area.
