What is the difference between a ceramic and concrete tile?

At ARTO we make both high-fire ceramic (clay) and fiber-reinforced concrete products including bricks, tiles, and pavers.

Our clay products can go anywhere—indoors and outdoors, walls and floors, in water, and in freeze/thaw conditions. These products are virtually maintenance-free.

Our concrete products can also go indoors and outdoors, on walls and floors, and in freeze/thaw conditions. However, concrete products should not go in water and will need to be sealed. They are also porous so they will age and patina over time, which means there is a little more maintenance involved with the concrete products over time.

Our products are not perfect…ARTO products are perfectly imperfect, consistent irregularity…rustic elegance.
