As of August 2021, the LSAT will be administered in an online, live remote-proctored format (similar to the LSAT-Flex) through June 2022. An option to take the LSAT at test centers may be provided depending on the progression of COVID-19.

The LSAT will also return to it's pre-COVID format which includes a fourth, unscored variable section that will allow the test makers to try out new LSAT questions and ensure they are free from any form of bias. Due to this addition, the LSAT will include a short break between the second and third sections.
