My 2nd attempt at doing this quest, 1st being a test run to see how it actually works on Nostarlius.
The hardest bit is not getting interrupted by other players and that's something u just have to get lucky with since a passer by can interrupt the quest and get u killed. There will almost certainty be some other priest there doing the quest so be patient and wait your turn :)
There is also a harsh penalty of failing the quest, the quest giver disappears and re-spawns after 2h so if you think you will fail the quest just ask someone to interrupt your run. Getting interrupted and failing are two different things, if someone enters the quest area that's a interrupt and it get's you and the person interrupting killed, a failed quest is if you let enough peasants get killed.
The best advice I can give is to re-spec to Spirit Tap since it's much cheaper to pay two re-specs then waste a lot of gold on consumables.
