The BEST Jamaican Restaurant in the Bronx, According to Connie Diiamond | Rec Team NYC

Описание к видео The BEST Jamaican Restaurant in the Bronx, According to Connie Diiamond | Rec Team NYC

Where can you find the best Caribbean food in the Bronx? Def Jam rapper Connie Diiamond recommends Rocatone Seafood Restaurant, located at 3740 White Plains Road. Rocatone is a neighborhood staple, serving up quintessential Caribbean dishes like oxtail, jerk chicken, roti, and rasta pasta for over two decades. Before Connie took the Bronx drill scene by storm with tracks like "Ghetto & Ratchet," she worked at a hair salon down the street from Rocatone, and would visit the takeout counter on her lunch break. In between bites of jerk salmon and fried chicken, Connie dishes on her Mount Rushmore of Bronx rappers, gives a crash course on drill, and explains why LeBron James had all of her exes hitting her line.

At Rec Team NYC, we invite our favorite artists and creators to "recommend" one special place for viewers to visit. Our mission is to spotlight corners of New York (and other cities) that are amazing, but sometimes overlooked. We're brand new here.
