New Ram 1500 Transmission Issue Problem Caught on Camera (headphones for full effect)

I sure hate to have to upload this video but until Ram admits to and fixes this problem, I feel others should be made aware. If you didn’t know it many with a new Ram have been experiencing an issue where you put the truck in drive...and it goes nowhere! Then as you step on the gas, all of the sudden it slams into gear and lunges forward as if you did a neutral drop! Imagine you are in your garage and someone happens to be crossing in front of the truck the moment that happens haw bad this can get. Even with this video my local dealer says he thinks it needs a software update. However it is quite clear to me that something mechanically is hanging up and when it frees up, it slams into gear. To the others that this has happened to, the only fix has been a new transmission. This is because these 8-speed transmissions are non serviceable. As expected, my dealer says they “reinitialized” the transmission (software). I feel confident that it will be back in the shop shortly with the same problem. What I do NOT feel confident in is that my hard earn money spent on a brand new truck to avoid having to be in the shop was a good plan. Could have bought used and been driving right now.
