Hotfix 2.0.1 shows Expansive Worlds is working on the problem. There is a partial fix for players who have not started Japan yet only but they do indicate they have solved the problem and the fix is on the way when they are ready to release it. In the meantime I talk about the only possible workaround I have seen from any source. I have no way to test it.
