Transformers has knockoffs everywhere, but in the 90’s to ‘00’s, the Quick Change G1 Combiner Sets were everywhere. In addition to Devastator, there was Superion, a recolored (to almost Guard City status) Defensor, a Bruticus that was really in Baldigus Car Robots 2000 colors, and a Menasor that came with two Technobots. It was a wild time, but Captain Kyle reviews the yellow Devastator set to see if it’s worth tracking down.

The Quick Change Devastator in this review is yellow, which is a coloration the Constructions have been produced in by Hasbro before. In addition to the G2 yellow Devastator, a set of Constructions was released in Europe during the G1 era without the pieces to form Devastator and in yellow. These were the Decepticon team that was to face off against the Autobot Rescue Force, which was a set of recolored versions of Japanese exclusives that were unnamed. Captain Kyle opens this old knock off set and checks the quality to see if this would be a fun set for your collection.
