Time slows down for many riders during an emergency, think about seeing people unaware on sidewalk in your path while trying to recover. She may have been more skilled than reported and the set obstructions and public added too many distractions affecting her reaction time and options. rider's don't often just give up.
A witness reported she swerved to miss extra's or pedestrians:

Witness suggest perhaps a wheel stand burn out but only rubber I saw was at impact area on sidewalk, no burn out rubber marbles etc:

The preliminary report, either the bike's front crushed carbon fibre/alloy? rim locked tire or as seen in many still photos the rear tire locked up on impact (check tread in pic) or she was braking and swerving a broken front end at last moments before going airborne into glass frame.
