The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was developed as a homologation special for the World Rally championship. In the short four-year run, only around 7,000 examples were built, and only ten were finished in Zinc Yellow. The Escort RS came in two engine configurations. The early cars had a big turbo for homologation purposes but suffered from turbo lag. The later models had a smaller turbo for better drivability. This car is a later build; however, it has a big turbo and full WOLF Racing ECU swap for more power. In addition, it also received bigger WOLF Racing AP Brakes with 14” 2-piece rotors on the front. The suspension was recently overhauled with brand new GAZ coilovers and corner balanced. Over the past summer, the previous owner replaced the exhaust with a brand new 3” turbo back exhaust and carbon fiber front splitter and “hockey sticks.”
