The X-Men lore has a long history dating back to their debut back in September 1963. This is one storyline that originated back in 1980, and, the dark path that took place in the Marvel Universe when a certain assassination of Senator Kelly. Setting the stage for the beginning of the end of the X-Men and Mutantkind. The story told mirrors some of the events that have played out in the past during World War II, and unfortunately as history has shown...some lessons of fear, hate, anger and ultimately suffering repeats itself in society. This is the story of the aftermath of one event that went unchecked in that timeline, and the worst of humanity ran the human race into the ground. Originally, the story of "Days of Future Past" was published in the fall of 1980 by Marvel Comics, and was written by Chris Claremont, and drawn by John Byrne and inked by Terry Austin.
