Today, in our sports encyclopedia series we will talk about Ball Badminton.
Ball Badminton is a racket sport played between two teams using a yellow ball made of wool.
This game takes place on a court which is around 12 by 24 meters with a net in between.
The objective of Ball Badminton is to score points by making the ball land in the opposite player’s court.
Ball Badminton game is more popular in India.
The game is capable of being played outdoors and indoors.
When playing fives, the team is eight formally designated players, and any of the five can plays.
While playing doubles, the team is allowed three players only.
The game starts when the ball is served.
In the beginning, the server should be on the right side of the court.
Each time, the point is scored the server moves to the other side.
The ball can be returned by any of the players of the opposing team.
The team changes position when it reaches the 18th, 15th, and 22nd points, but the server will continue to change between the right and left courts.
The first team that manages to score the 34th point wins.
