Seattle Council Member Tammy Morales and Members representing City Departments and MLK Business Association visit small businesses owned by Asian and Somali communities at South Seattle and Othello Business District. Thank you, Sarah Valenta of HomeSight and Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs for organizing the tour. The visit was mainly focused on King Plaza and Al Noor Center area. Other city members who were part of the visit were Gerald Hankerson, and Pedro Gomez of Seattle Mayor's office, Luanda Hassan Arai of Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs (OIRA), and Evelyn Chow of Office of Council Member Tammy J. Morales. Some of the business they visited were RoadSafe Driving Academy at which they met by Instructor Haji Haji, and Alnor Mosque area including Corte Fino. They were welcomed at there by PharmD Ahmed Ali of Othello Station Pharmacy, and Zahra Sharif of Corte Fino Mexican Halal Restaurant.
