2011 Kia Sorento - no start - won't start - push button starting issues

Video showing the issues with our 2011 Kia Sorento push button start problems. This will show you how to keep from getting stranded. This same issue occurs in other Kia vehicles. The problem appears to be with the brake switch not allowing the vehicle to start. I am showing you how to easily bypass the brake switch and proceed to start the vehicle (Do so at your own risk). Also note that after the vehicle starts you may have to press the brake switch really hard to get the car into gear the first time.

As with all work-arounds you are doing this at your own risk. My vehicle did not have any issues and ran as expected once the vehicle was started. However once shut off, the vehicle again had to be over-ridden to start back up.

It is off for warranty repair now and I will update once I get the diagnostic information back from Kia.
