🗻About Buer Valley :
Buer Valley/Buardalen is located near Odda in the Hardanger region of Norway. It is known for its stunning glacial landscape and is a popular destination for hiking and glacier tours. The valley is home to Buarbreen, a glacier arm of the Folgefonna glacier, which extends down into the valley.

🗻The hike:
You will walk next to the river for most of the hike up to the glacier. Some places there are bridges where you cross the river. The whole hike is in wild and lush landscape, and you can see the glacier in front of you the whole way. In some parts of the hike you will find ropes to make it easier to climb. The last part of the trail is in steep terrain, and sturdy hiking boots are necessary.
Length: 3 km (one way)
Total ascent: 600 meters
Total walking time: 4 hours
Season (average year): end May – October.

❗Do NOT go near the glacier.
The glacier is in constant movement, and going near the glacier can be very dangeours.
