Carvahall is one of the most important places in the Cycle. The place itself as well as the people who live there. Therefore, I decided to give Carvahall more of a soundscape of many different melodies instead of one defined melody. Since the Flute is one of my Main Instruments to convey "normal people" I used woodwinds for all melodies. It sounds happy, playful and hopeful, like most people there are.
The Harpsichord is my way to tell the size of the village, the orchestra is chamber size and every instrument is defined. All parts play together to create a feeling of home.
