Jimmy Keane (Taron Egerton), a high school football hero and the son of a decorated cop, is sentenced to 10 years in a maximum security prison.

Jimmy receives an incredible offer from the FBI for life - go to a maximum security prison and befriend Larry Hall (Paul Walter Houser), a deranged criminal and suspected serial killer; or stay in a minimum security prison and serve a full sentence while awaiting parole.

Keane makes a deal with the FBI as he quickly realizes his only recourse is to get a confession from Larry and find out the whereabouts of the buried bodies of several young girls before Larry's appeal is accepted.

Inspired by true events and based on James Keane's 2010 autobiographical novel Along with the Devil: A Fallen Hero, a Serial Killer, and a Dangerous Deal for Redemption.
