Join us for Part 1 of TD Presents African Heritage Month at Halifax Public Libraries:
Rhythm & Royalty: African Kings and Queens.

In this opening chapter, we arrive at the celebration and are warmly welcomed into a space filled with culture, history, and community. The event begins with powerful African drumming by Dr. Henry & Adrian Bishop, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.

Host Nicole Johnson greets the room and introduces the incredible team who made this event possible. Together, we lift our voices in “Lift Every Voice,” the Black National Anthem, followed by a moving spoken word blessing from Treasure, a young Nigerian poet whose words leave a lasting impression.

This is just the beginning — there is so much more still to come.
