Death of an American Dream: The Pan Am Story (1992, Documentary)

Описание к видео Death of an American Dream: The Pan Am Story (1992, Documentary)

From Stepping Stone Productions, filmmaker Tas Salinin's 1992 documentary provides first person interviews with recently unemployed employees and Pan Am veterans along with a comprehensive history of the iconic airline during the months right after Pan American World Airways ceased operations on December 4, 1991 when the company was being liquidated.

The film captures the raw heartbreak of employees and provides a unique perspective of the airline's demise as interviews happened shortly after the airline closed down and during the dismantling of the company in the first half of 1992.

Many of those featured have since passed away in the last three decades.

Note: William Seawell's name is mispronounced. The correct pronunciation is "sue-wool."
