When desire takes hold, what happens next is never accidental. This short teaser brings one of the earliest human conflicts to anime.

Genesis 4:8 simply tells us:
“Now Cain said to his brother Abel, ‘Let’s go out to the field.’ While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.”

At first glance, it reads like a brief statement with little detail, which raises the question: Why portray such intense violence?

When we look deeper into the original language, the picture becomes clearer:
• The Hebrew word for “killed him” is harag, which means to slay with ruthless, violent force.
• In 1 John 3, the Greek word used to describe Cain’s act is sphazo, meaning to slaughter or butcher.

For many of us, especially when first reading Scripture, it’s easy to imagine this moment as a single blow or a quick act. But the biblical language points to something far more brutal.

Another detail appears in Deuteronomy 22, where crimes committed “in the field” are treated as premeditated, not accidental. The setting itself reveals Cain’s intent.

While this level of violence may feel shocking, it’s actually a more accurate reflection of what the biblical text conveys.

Portraying this scene with intensity isn’t for shock value, it’s to stay true to what Scripture actually describes. And this generation is already seeing violence everywhere; through our anime series, we’re simply giving it meaning, context, and truth.
