Thanks for watching!! Oscar Hackett Neil Moss was the original John Jones. He was a British student who died in a caving accident after becoming jammed underground, 1,000 feet from the entrance, after descending a narrow and unexplored shaft in Peak Cavern, a famous cave system in Castleton in Derbyshire, on 22nd March 1959. Initial attempts to haul him free failed due to the rope broking many times. After he lost consciousness, as carbon dioxide from his own respiration built up in the base of the shaft, he was later pronounced dead and left forever entombed.
