I was so excited to find out that chia leaves are actually fully edible and even more fired up when I realized I could use them to make a deliciously light yet nutritious tea. I find myself using it in place of green or black tea and blending it hibiscus and dried fruits. But more on that later.
To grow chia, you can use the seeds you get at the supermarket for your smoothies. I started them in grow sponges then moved them the iharvest system. Now they are thriving and they grow extremely fast. I can harvest almost every week. You can air dry them, use a dehydrator or an oven at low heat.
