Sales of strong hybrid vehicles are growing in high double digits, sharply outpacing a sluggish Indian auto market where demand for both fossil-fuel and electric vehicles have slowed this year. As many as 23,394 strong hybrid vehicles were sold in the June quarter, a 62.5% surge from a year earlier, according to industry estimates. This compares with a modest 3% rise in total domestic passenger vehicle sales at 1.03 million units in the same period.
