From the 2 – 4 March 2021, the 12 IGLUNA 2021 student teams met online to prepare for the Field Campaign. Over three days, more than 200 students gathered to share their progresses on the design and their concept, attend guests presentations and network.

For the third consecutive year, IGLUNA is gathering students from around the world on the topic of a space habitat, this year increasing the technological challenge with remote operations. Twelve teams from 9 countries have been selected to participate to this collaborative project in the framework of the ESA_Lab@ initiative.

Their goal is to test their technologies by remote-control for a space habitat demonstrator in July 2021 on the Mount Pilatus and from the Verkehrshaus in Lucerne, Switzerland.

In their application, all these teams could successfully prove relevance to the Moon Exploration roadmap of the European Space Agency (ESA), show innovative impact for Earth and Space applications and find support from commercial and academic actors.
