Dark Electronic Orchestral Music "Hazardous Dam"

Hello everyone, welcome. I figured i will go over my creative process for this piece and just my music in general in case you are interested. So, this project all started with the art piece, i won't really go over that because I know you are here for the music but basically, I made an oversized toxic dam. During this I was also working on an electro swing remix of classical music for a friend and it was going absolutely horrible, I could not harmonize with the piece, it was too sonically dense and it was just a mess to work with so many chopped samples at once. So as any reasonable person on the brink of insanity would I stopped. 6 hours passed and I started feeling guilty for not doing anything, so i started looking for free vst plugins to kick start my creativity. I found a vst called Micro keys, basically it's a digital version of those cheap sample-based pianos that everyone has seen at some point of their life. It did not sound all that good but it did have a very cheap retro flavor that i liked but when i played at the root and the 5th with the choir present it sounded very rich and unsettling. So, I just started extending that with a simple chord progression 1 1 7 2 5 4 was what I ended up using, I'm not really sure if those are good chords but they flowed well. I then realized I could make this fit the dam image I made so I added some low reverb-ey dam ambiance and it just took off from there. I used an orchestra bass instrument with some snapper electronic synths over top to add attack. I made a riser and a pad with some more synths, added a high synth Arp, added a sub, put my sound design to the test and made simple orchestra drums. Used a few poly rhythms for echoes. I made a really high synth with glide from note to note and harmonized it. The climax is basically the same just with strings and another choir vst. This is not really much to making a song like this, it seems complex but it really just comes down to sound design, harmony, and suspense. Most if not all of you could do something like this with a little bit of theory and creativity. So, do something today, you will be one piece closer to what you're going to be, even if you haven't found it yet.
