Southern Fried Chicken Livers Recipe 🍗 | A Taste of the South
👋 Today, we're diving into a Southern classic that's close to my heart—Fried Chicken Livers!
I remember my first taste of this delicacy in high school while working at Popeyes; it was love at first bite.

📋 Ingredients
Chicken Livers: 6 per order/person

Dry Dredge Mix:

Flour
Creole seasoning
Onion powder
Garlic salt
Kosher salt

Wet Dredge Mix:

16 oz Buttermilk
1 Whole egg
1 Tbsp Ranch dressing
2 tsp favorite hot sauce

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cleaning Process
Rinse the livers under cold water.
Soak them in a salt solution for added cleanliness and seasoning.

2️⃣ Trimming and Cutting
Remove the connecting membrane and bile duct.
Rinse again under cold water.

3️⃣ Dredging
First, coat the livers in the dry mix.
Then, dip them in the wet mix.
Finally, back into the dry mix for that perfect crispy texture.

4️⃣ Frying
Heat canola oil in a pot.
Fry at 360°F until golden brown and delicious.

🍯 Special Dipping Sauce
Mix ⅓ of your favorite BBQ sauce with ⅔ Ranch dressing. Stir well, and you're done!
