Shadows - Hana Ajiashvili, by David Darmon's text

Описание к видео Shadows - Hana Ajiashvili, by David Darmon's text

The human voice is transformed by "surrealistic electronic" voices in a work inspired by David Darmon's poem Shadows.
The mezzo soprano Reut Ventorero sings into a microphone connected to a voice transformer that changes her voice in different ways and helps to create a kind of shadows that are outside of the human voice.
The piece was composed especially for Reut Ventorero and the musicians of Meitar Ensemble.

Shadows
By David Darmon

Shadows flying by the water
Forest trees breath cold and danger
Darkness taste with poisoned anger

Shadows whispering riddles, chanting madness
Naked moon shines through her black dress
Time stands still, her soul awakens

Fallen leaves and heartbeats pounding
Surrounded by voices, dusty wind is rising
Her glistening tears flowing down her face
Now she’s a shadow in her very last dance
