Back with another vlog in the BMW X3m competition. This time driving a road called The Long Causeway in Lancashire. The x3m shows speeds, its sounds and its faults? Really weird flat spot with no power!!
The x3m is an absolute machine! i love it! really love it, fulltstop! However, life can take different twists and turns now and then and to cut a long story short im down around £500 per month compared to the time of buying the x3m competition last year. No sympathy needed, just pointing out that things change and why i may potentially be looking at getting a new car.
As mentioned in the video the running costs of the x3m competition are the problem at the minute, the 19mpg is costing a fortune, the running in service, the insurance (because of the crash, i know its my fault), the tyres it needs etc etc its just becoming a little bit too expensive after ive lost the money i mentioned.
With all that in mind, i did a quick check on my settlement figure and the figures are really good, i am around £3k negative at the minute which is much better than i expected to be at this stage of ownership. Which means if i can find a low/no deposit offer on a nice car i could potentially be ready to get a new car. Some ideas below:
M340I - Probably too expensive if they have no offers on
M135I - I know i said it was shit, and on the test drive i thought it was, buttttt maybe i was wrong? in black they look good! It would save a lot of money? buttt hmmm i dunno?
A35 Amg - possible
New Golf GTI - not sure on the figures yet but i like these a lot!
Fiesta ST - would save loads of money but its a biggggg drop down ha!
Keep the x3m competition because it is quite clearly such a better car than all those listed. If you have any ideas of new cars and offers please let me know as it was in fact a viewer that pointed out to me the offers on the X3M competition and i went and bought one of their comments!!
So to sum it all up, potentially getting a new car, the x3m competition is becoming a bit too expensive because of changes in personal circumstances. I love the x3m still even though it did that really weird thing were it broke? Also, if your about Lancashire you could do much worse than going to check out that road, on a sunny day its really nice!!
