Hello friends! Welcome to The Chronicle Post, today we are going to talk about a very important topic. Do you know that a new and powerful cruise missile is being developed in India? This missile is called "Air-Launched Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile" (ALLCM).
This missile is being developed by India's Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) on the demand of the Indian Air Force. This missile is based on the Nirbhay missile, a subsonic cruise missile designed and developed by DRDO for the Indian Army.
This missile being made for the Indian Air Force has been lightened by about 1.3 tonnes by removing the first stage solid rocket booster. Since it is going to be fired from the air, it will not require extra rocket boosters which are in its land launched variant,
The range of this missile will be between 800 to 1200 kilometers, which will give the Indian Air Force the ability to target targets in the enemy's deep areas. It is going to be a subsonic missile, due to which this missile will probably be less costly than the BrahMos-NG supersonic cruise missile.

DRDO has planned that they will first conduct the release test of this missile from Sukhoi-30MKI. If successful, an actual target launch test will be conducted to evaluate the capabilities of the missile.

DRDO aims to complete the development trials of the "Air-Launched Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile" by 2028 and start its production. The successful development and deployment of this missile will boost India's strategic capabilities.
