West of England Bandsmen's Festival, Bugle - Camborne 2024 Champions

The wonderful Bugle Contest in Cornwall which took place on Saturday 15th June 2024 in surprisingly good weather despite a forecast to the contrary. Camborne Band under Gareth Churcher took the title on the day winning both march and test piece in the Championship Section performing Rimmer's march The Australasian and Philip Wilby's Paganini Variations.
Here we have the band marching on Fore Street to Molinnis Park in the morning playing Alford's On the Quarter Deck and then marching back in the evening parading the silverware and playing Rimmer's The Cossack (a great tempo for a quality march performed with swagger!) to then perform a lap of honour outside the Bugle Inn performing The Australasian, Lady Stewart's Air and finally the hymn tune Deep Harmony.
