1960 Southern 500 Tragedy

The 1960s were a different time in NASCAR's history, especially when it comes to safety. However, the cars today would not be able to disaster like this. Bobby Johns and Roy Tyner made contact on lap 85 to send Bobby's car straight to the pit area. This disaster is a once in a century tragedy.
