U-CONNECT Model RBZ Back Up Cam Install - Jeep JKU

Описание к видео U-CONNECT Model RBZ Back Up Cam Install - Jeep JKU

Is your Jeep JK or JKU lacking a reverse camera with the factory touch screen head unit? Mine was and it took me a decent bit of research to determine that my head unit could run a backup camera.

In this video I will be installing a Roadpower Car Backup Camera I found on Amazon on my 2015 Jeep JKU. My head unit model is the 430 RBZ, the RBZ is located on the face of the unit in the bottom right corner. If you similarly have this head unit you too can install a backup camera like I did.

Check out this video for the steps to take apart the dash to gain access to the head unit, test to make sure the camera will work, then how I adapted power from the dash 12v socket outlet and routed all of the wiring. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that you will need to enable the backup camera feed via the OBDII. I was able to do this with the J-Scan App on my iPhone with a blue tooth OBDII scan tool. You can similarly take your Jeep to the dealership to enable this functionality as well but this will have some cost along with it. I highly suggest looking into the J-Scan App and purchasing a compatible blue tooth OBDII scan tool as it has a lot of functionality. I briefly touched on the J-Scan App in my Firestone Tire Review video.

In addition I also finished up wiring in my Midland Handheld CB Radio Unit so be sure to keep an eye out for that!
