Yoga is an ancient discipline from India that connects the body to the mind. The word "yoga" means union. Yoga consists of different poses or asanas, various breathing exercises known as pranayama, and meditation. It improves an individual's mental and physical health.

Asanas include gentle exercises with different poses, and maintaining and balancing these poses helps increase strength, control, and flexibility. It is a good combination of stretching and exercise. Yoga asanas have a direct effect on muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and soft tissue. Our muscles can become tight due to our daily lifestyle, which directly affects the joints. Two benefits of yoga asanas are muscle strengthening and muscle stretching, which make the joints pain-free and strong.
