Here we have an unpainted Dapol OO Gauge 20 Ton Mineral Wagon, and an American model railroader trying his hand at painting it from scratch.

This was a fun divergence from my usual projects on the workbench. I did the base painting of this Dapol wagon, plus the addition of a stripe that is certainly there on the prototypes (just don't ask me why it's there). I then ran through my usual powder weathering routine and made the wagon look like it's been a few places. I doubt my paint job would satisfy a rivet counter, but I like how it came out.
