Live-Looping Ambient Cello Sketch 7 | The Wong Janice

Live-looping improvised ambient cello music by The Wong Janice for study, focus, relaxation, calming, meditation and sleep.

‘Ambient Cello 7’ is taken from the video 'March New Moon Workshop with Live Ambient Cello' (see original video here:    • New Moon Workshop (April 2021) with L...  ) which is a bi-weekly live-stream workshop series at the time of the New Moon & Full Moon. The workshop comes with a worksheet to fill in while The Wong Janice takes you on a 20-minute dreamy journey of ambient cello soundscapes with her loop machine and effect pedals. It will be part of the forthcoming album: ‘Live-Looping Ambient Cello, Vol. 1’.

These recordings were recorded live at home in the living room. Nothing is pre-recorded. The Wong Janice uses a reverb effects pedal (Strymon BigSky), delay effects pedal (Strymon TimeLine), octave pedal (ElectroHarmonix Micro POG) and a loop machine (BOSS RC-300) to create these beautiful soundscapes by looping layers on top of each other. Every note was created on the spot in the present moment, with the wish that flowing energy and openness will transfer to the listener.

The music and videos are intended to serve the listener/viewer as they wish, either listening presently or just playing in the background - creating a feeling of lightness and calm.
