About BÖNDBREAKR
In the spring of 2023, hardcore punk rockers BÖNDBREAKR signed onto the acclaimed underground activist punk label Grimace Records, proudly joining the ranks of the label’s esteemed roster of punk artists including MDC - Millions of Dead Cops, Naked Aggression, Elected Officials, Casual Relapse, Noogy, and Reagan Era Rejects.

They released their single 'Progress and Change' on July 1st, which coincided with the first day of their Waking Nightmare Tour 2023, covering 14 cities with 14 performances in Roswell, NM; Yuma, AZ; Los Angeles, CA; Denver, CO and many others.

The quartet has played their unique blend of grimy nightmare music during SXSW 2022 and 2023, and have opened for heavy-hitting acts such as H.R. (Bad Brains), Pleasure Venom, Fuck Money, Pussy Gillette, and We Don’t Ride Llamas. They also collaborated with bassist, banjo player, and songwriter JD Pinkus (Butthole Surfers) on a cover of Melvins’ “Bride of Crankenstein” released on Black Donut Records in 2022.

About 'Progress and Change'
BÖNDBREAKR addresses climate change, government corruption, and reproductive rights with their single 'Progress and Change'.

"My inspiration comes from the world around me which is literally overheating due to the reckless abuses of Earth's resources," said vocalist and lyricist Gerilyn Hayes-McCloskey, better known as Hurricane G.

"Activists Daisy Salinas (Muchacha Fanzine) and the late feminist warrior poet Audre Lorde have given me the knowledge necessary to address a variety of societal maladies, with the most pressing ones being climate change and bodily autonomy. Neither can be ignored, yet both are poorly managed by corrupt domestic and international government entities."

The single is a rallying cry that comes ahead of their second studio-recorded EP titled 'EXILE' which will be released by legendary underground punk label Grimace Records on August 25, 2023.
