Across Africa, more than 60 young scientists, clinicians, ethicists, and health advocates—graduates of the PAPERI Policy Advocacy in Genetics Course—raise their voices in unity.

They represent different countries, different disciplines, and different life experiences.
But they speak with one message:

It is time for Africa to lead.
It is time for Genomics Policy for Africa — by Africans.

For decades, African populations have been underrepresented in global genomics research, limiting the impact of precision medicine for our people.
Now, a new generation is standing together to change this.

These advocates believe:
• Africa must shape its own genomic future
• Ethical, equitable, African-led policies are urgently needed
• WHO and the African Union must work with us to build a continental genomics policy framework
• The next generation deserves representation, dignity, and scientific leadership

This film honors their courage, their voices, and their dream for a future where Africa is no longer absent from the world’s genetic map.
