The Mountains Around Me


As I sit and observe the formidable mountains in the distance.


The first signs of the fall foliage peaking through the tall green trees and I ponder all existence.


 The light tones of yellow and red, array the mountains as a beautiful garnish.


The lower surroundings areas remain unvarnished.


I focused my glance on the mountains and I feel a since of protection around me.


My anxiety and troubles no longer cause me to flea.


I take a moment to wonder what all the mountains have seen and what will ever be.


Will the mountains remember me?
