Indian cuisine consists of a variety of regional and traditional cuisines native to the Indian subcontinent. Given the diversity in soil, climate, culture, ethnic groups, and occupations, these cuisines vary substantially and use locally available spices, herbs, vegetables, and fruits.
When I first came to Canada, I couldn't cook a thing! My mom always made amazing food back home, but here... take out every night.
Then I realized, this isn't gonna work! I have to cook at home, save money, eat healthy. But those fancy recipes online? Hard to find ingredients, take forever to make!
So, I started figuring things out. Simple recipes, yummy flavours, ingredients from regular stores like Walmart or Costco - no crazy stuff!
I aim to create videos where I thoroughly describe each recipe. While the recipes I share might not always be the most traditional, they are the easiest to prepare and taste just as authentic. I use spices and ingredients that are readily available in Canada, and if you live in North America, UK or Australia, you'll likely find them easily too. These recipes are perfect for anyone seeking delicious and straightforward dishes.
Most of my recipes are either vegan or vegetarian or Chicken based. I do not make recipes for beef or pork.
I’m specifically targeting North American audiences. My recipes might seem a bit overwhelming at first, but I know many of you love Indian food and want to learn how to make it. You’ll need to buy some basic ingredients, especially spices, which can be a bit pricey and hard to find.
However, I get everything from nearby markets in Canada, so I’m confident you can find them too. Once you have these spices, the recipes will be straightforward and easy to follow.
Check out my videos and let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions on how I can make them even simpler. Share with friends who love Indian food but have never tried making it at home!
