Front right side view showing the Shourt Line DCC Conversion with servo auto pantograph operation with synchronized 12 watt sound and full lighting. Both motor blocks were converted to 4 wires, two for track and two for motor. All wiring was replaced for both motor blocks and lighting.

Two ball bearing micro servos, 4 ball bearing cable pulley blocks and mounting pads for servo mounts were added. A custom cable pulley was added for each servo to capture the cable for raising and lowering the catenary at each end of the loco. The automatic operation changes with direction of travel and works with or without overhead power cable. The ball bearing pulley blocks keep water out of the engine room making the system weatherproof.

Two 6 watt speakers are mounting in each end of the loco with an SL baffle to allow the full 12 watts of audio to be safely used. An wall mounted decoder bracket securely holds an ESU Loksound 5 XL decoder. The decoder bracket provides maximum air flow for the decoder. Three SL LED fixtures have been added to the center engine room for illuminating the 3 exterior windows..

The headlamps are programmed for proper rear of loco lighting in both directions.

A kit is available for adding servo automatic operation to locos without this feature. Works with or without over head catenary wire. Advanced skills are recommended for installation, here are the kit details:
